The hostage

When an ordinary kind of day
turns into some kind of nightmare,
freedom and dignity trodden on
by an unknown somebody,
who, full of the poisons
of ignorance and anger,
now turns all of your moments
into unpredictable minefields
of horror and fear.

May the loving thoughts
of the compassionate multitude
help guide you back to safety,
back to the family
where you belong.

Stephanie Mohan- December 2014

For all people who suffer /have suffered
at the hands of hostage takers.

My thoughts and prayers tonight are with the hostages held in the Lindt cafe
Sydney today, and their loved ones.

  1. They will reach their families, unharmed, because our blessings are much powerful than the weapons.
