In this short life of trials and test,
through fair and foul weather we strive,
in fierce contest and pains to stay alive,
few will gain peace before rest.
The truth laid out by dear physician,
has four components noble and clear,
symptoms, cause, cure and a path of no fear,
some forsake all for such righteous mission.
The call thus made to sentient beings,
was to follow these teachings profound,
morality, concentration and wisdom then found,
in the practice towards final freeing.
