Just another tree

just another tree;
bears the scars of life lived long –
sees the clouds pass by.

  1. Beautifully-captured!

  2. I’ve got a post coming abut a tree once things settle down a bit post-move.

    The trees are sad today
    the leaves have fallen since she went away,
    there is a longing, yearning in the air
    far more deep than I can bear . . . and it is cold,
    too bitter cold for me to stay,
    and so I tread my lonely way back home.

    Before I left I spied one quivering leaf
    upon a barren black barked bough,
    . . . and then it fell,
    drifting down upon the longing, yearning in the air.

  4. That´s a very nice account from a tree´s perspective… 🙂
    All the best to you!, Aquileana 😀
